STATEHOUSE – State Representative David Ober (R-Albion) congratulates Courier from Kendallville for receiving the WorkOne Achievement Award. In a ceremony yesterday, 12 Hoosier companies and 12 individuals were recognized for their commitment to job creation as well as utilizing WorkOne’s available resources for exceptional career development and personal advancement.
“I want to congratulate Courier for receiving this award,” said Rep. Ober. “Northeast Indiana has greatly benefited from this company, which has provided many jobs for Hoosiers, and this award symbolizes just how much we appreciate all they have done.”
WorkOne is the heart of workforce development and is committed to connecting Hoosiers with available positions as well as providing access to career training opportunities through one of their 11 regional offices. WorkOne hosts annual career fairs and events to help employ Hoosiers.
One of those events is the WorkOne Achievement Award ceremony which honored Courier and 11 other companies for their notable job creation efforts and for developing the lives of Hoosiers. Twelve other award recipients were honored for their dedication to their own personal advancement through the use of WorkOne education, training and employment services.
“WorkOne is another available tool that Hoosiers can use to develop professionally and become more sought-after in today’s job market,” said Rep. Ober. “I am grateful for all they have done for our state in equipping the Hoosier workforce and strengthening our state’s economy.”
The awards were presented by Department of Workforce Development Commissioner Scott B. Sanders at the Indiana Statehouse.
