California company coming to Columbus
This year, my top priority has been to make Indiana the most business- and taxpayer-friendly state in the nation. Recent economic development policies are resulting in Hoosier companies expanding within our borders, in addition to attracting out-of-state companies to move to Indiana. Even better, they are moving to our community.
Toyota Material Handling U.S.A., Inc. (TMHU) announced plans to relocate its California headquarters to Columbus. Their existing Columbus offices are connected to Toyota Industrial Equipment Mfg., Inc., and after the transition, all operations will be headquartered in Columbus.
TMHU has been the number one selling lift truck company in North America for the last decade.
Their choice to move and grow in Indiana is a testament to our state’s pro-business laws. I am pleased that more Hoosiers will be finding work in our great community as companies see Indiana as a great place to raise a family, work and prosper.
