"I would like to encourage junior high and high school students across Henry, Wayne and Randolph Counties interested in the legislative process to take the time to come down to the Statehouse," said Rep. Saunders. "The Page Program not only provides a rich learning environment for students but also a closer look into state government."
A day at the Statehouse for pages includes activities a touring the building, attending floor sessions and committee meetings and working alongside House staff. The program is open to students 13 years of age or older. Availability is limited, so students should apply as soon as possible.
Students interested in serving as pages in the Indiana House of Representatives should contact the House Page Office at 1-800-382-9841 or visit the House Republican Page request web site at http://www.in.gov/legislative/house_republicans/student/pageindex.html for more information.
