Rep. Price to serve on four House committees
STATEHOUSE — House Speaker Brian C. Bosma (R-Indianapolis) announced committee assignments and leadership appointments for the Indiana House Republican Caucus. State Representative John Price (R-Greenwood) was appointed to serve as a member of Employment, Labor and Pensions, in addition to his previous committee assignments of Financial Institutions, Local Government and Veterans Affairs and Public Safety.
“I am eager to begin my work with the Employment, Labor and Pensions Committee while continuing my duties with my previous committee assignments,” said Rep. Price. “The committees really dive deep into the issues and try to iron out the details before being presented before the entire chamber. I am always eager to hear from constituents and experts during committee meetings as they are instrumental to the entire legislative process.”
Committee chairmen and caucus leaders are selected biennially by the majority party after each election year.
Standing committees are an integral part of the legislative process. Committees with specific expertise receive public testimony and work out the details of proposed legislation before it is heard on the House floor.
