STATEHOUSE – “It is an honor to attend Governor Daniels’ final State of the State address. Governor Daniels is a driving force in spurring Indiana toward fiscal solvency. As expressed in his speech Tuesday night, we look to continue to make Indiana the best it can be through this session and this year. It has been a great honor to serve under Gov. Daniels during my time as a state representative, as he has been conscientious in working to make the state of Indiana a better place to work, raise a family and enjoy our freedoms.

“I believe this session there are pieces of legislation that will create avenues to spur an environment that brings employers to Indiana and job opportunities for Hoosiers all over the state. I am ready to tackle the issues facing Hoosiers head on.”

Rep. Jim Baird represents District 44 which includes all of Putman County and parts of Clay, Parke and Vigo Counties. Rep. Baird is a member of the Agriculture and Rural Development Committee and the Ways and Means Committee.
