Rep. Eric Turner: Honored to serve with Rep. Pond
“State Representative Phyllis Pond was a dedicated public servant for more than three decades. I had the distinct privilege of serving with her for the past twenty years on the House Ways and Means committee and valued sitting next to her in the front row of the House Chamber.
“Based on her years in a kindergarten classroom, her many years in the General Assembly and her old-fashioned common sense, Rep. Pond always brought a perspective to discussions on Ways and Means or on the House floor that few others had.
“It was my honor to serve with Rep. Pond as I will always treasure the advice and friendship she offered me throughout her tenure. She will be missed in the Indiana House of Representatives, but her contributions will last for generations.”
