Rep. Eric Turner (R-Marion) is pleased with State Superintendent of Education, Dr. Tony Bennett, and the Pacers organization, who are promoting parental involvement in education by launching Indiana's Parent Pledge.

"No amount of money can replace the impact parents can have on the success of their children's education," said Rep. Turner. "By following this simple but very effective pledge, parents will not only be contributing to the future of their own children, but will be preparing future employees for the employers of tomorrow who will develop, locate or expand in Indiana."

"I compliment Dr. Tony Bennett and the Indiana Pacers organization for promoting this very important component for the future of education in Indiana.  Every teacher in Indiana will appreciate and value having students whose parents have made the pledge and are carrying it out every day."

Rep. Turner serves House District 32, which contains portions of Grant, Hamilton, Howard, Miami and Tipton counties.
