STATEHOUSE — State Representative Bob Cherry (R-Greenfield) honored the New Palestine High School football team with a resolution for their record-breaking season and Class 4A state championship. The resolution, cosponsored by State Representative Sean Eberhart (R-Shelbyville), passed the House unanimously.
“I am very proud of this hardworking group of young men,” said Rep. Cherry. “They are an example of dedication and good sportsmanship, and it is my privilege to recognize their achievement.”
After an undefeated season, the New Palestine High School Dragons became the 2014-2015 Class 4A state champions and won the school’s first football state title.

“The New Palestine Dragons have made their community proud,” said Rep. Cherry. “Each of these young men, the managers and the coaches deserve this praise for their hard work and accomplishments. I wish this team the best as they continue to pursue excellence both on and off the field.”
