STATEHOUSE (Dec. 7, 2018) – State Rep. Sharon Negele (R-Attica) was recently appointed to serve as chair of the House Statutory Committee on Ethics.
Negele was also reappointed to the House Ways and Means Committee and the House Courts and Criminal Code Committee.
“Each session, lawmakers hear testimony from Hoosiers, industry experts and stakeholders on important issues affecting the state,” Negele said. “As we head into a budget session, their input will be especially helpful in improving our understanding of the issues hand and potentially shaping proposed legislation.”
Negele was also reappointed to serve as Assistant Majority Whip.
Standing committee assignments are made biennially after each election. On Jan. 3, House lawmakers will convene at 1:30 p.m. in the House Chamber for the first day of the 2019 legislative session.
