STATEHOUSE (June 28, 2019) State Rep. Alan Morrison (R-Brazil) will serve on two summer study committees, which examine the state’s top issues and recommend potential legislation.

Morrison will serve as a member of the Interim Study Committee on Energy, Utilities and Telecommunications, and on the Interim Study Committee on Elections.

“The Interim Study Committee on Energy, Utilities and Telecommunications will be looking into funding options for the replacement of lead water lines,” Morrison said. “Over time, water can corrode lead service lines and force utilities to add chemicals to limit the amount of lead getting into the drinking water supply.”

Morrison said interim study committee hearings, which typically occur at the Statehouse in Indianapolis, can be viewed live online at iga.in.gov. This site also provides committee calendars and meeting agendas. Members of the public are welcomed to attend and testify.
