STATEHOUSE (Oct. 3, 2018) – Staunton Elementary School was among seven schools honored Tuesday by the Indiana Department of Education for receiving a 2018 National Blue Ribbon School Award, according to State Rep. Alan Morrison (R-Brazil).
Morrison said the school was recognized for creating an educational atmosphere where excellence thrives and students are challenged every day to reach their full potential.
“My son attends Staunton Elementary School, and I know firsthand he is receiving the best education our state has to offer,” Morrison said. “Congratulations to the students, teachers and administration on earning this designation. It takes real determination to create an atmosphere that encourages students to strive for success.”
For 36 years, the U.S. Department of Education’s National Blue Ribbon Schools Program has recognized outstanding elementary, middle and high schools that are high performing or have closed student achievement gaps.
State Rep. Alan Morrison (R-Brazil) represents House District 42,
