STATEHOUSE (March 20, 2019) — State Rep. Kevin Mahan (R-Hartford City) recently honored members of the Indiana Sheriff’s Association at the Statehouse.

The Indiana Sheriff’s Association works to promote and improve county sheriff’s services, foster professionalism throughout the criminal justice system, and encourage the appreciation and practice of law enforcement in the State of Indiana.

“As a former sheriff and member of this organization, it gives me great honor to recognize the Indiana Sheriff’s Association,” Mahan said. “This group represents all 92 counties and helps educate and train Hoosier sheriffs to make our state a better and safer place.”

Mahan said the organization promotes general public welfare through the cooperation of various sheriffs and deputy sheriffs in the state in the performance of their duties.

The Indiana Sheriff’s Association was established in 1930 and continues to advocate for county sheriffs and public safety throughout the state.
