STATEHOUSE (Oct. 27, 2016) – The State Budget Committee approved Ball State University’s $62.5 million funding request to create a proposed Health Professions Building on Thursday, according to State Rep. Kevin Mahan (R-Hartford City).
“For years, Ball State has been a pillar in our community, providing jobs and education to Hoosiers across the state,” Mahan said. “Several programs will now be able to expand, providing the best and most up-to-date learning environment for students pursuing degrees in health-related fields, which are increasingly in demand and high paying.”
The Health Professions Building will allow Ball State University to consolidate its programs in nursing, counseling psychology, dietetics and nutrition, health science, social work, athletic training and speech and audiology together under one roof. Additionally, this building will house clinics allowing students to fulfil course requirements while providing services to the community.
