The Indiana House of Representatives participated in the Suits and Sneakers Challenge, an annual event hosted by the American Cancer Society and National Association of Basketball Coaches, to help raise awareness. According to the Indiana Department of Health, cancer is the second leading cause of death among Hoosiers of all ages. Cherry and Cook encourage Hoosiers to lead a healthy lifestyle by getting timely screenings, maintaining a healthy diet, exercising and avoiding tobacco products in an effort to prevent cancer.
