STATEHOUSE (February 9, 2016) ― Indiana Senate President Pro Tem David Long (R-Fort Wayne) and Indiana House Speaker Brian C. Bosma (R-Indianapolis) issued the following statement today regarding SCR 27, a resolution honoring Indiana Supreme Court Justice Brent Dickson upon his retirement. Long and Bosma served as the Senate author and House sponsor of the resolution, which passed both chambers unanimously:

“Justice Brent Dickson has been a pillar of Indiana’s judicial system for over three decades, and he will be greatly missed. The resolution adopted today recognizes his unwavering commitment to integrity and fairness on the bench, as well as his broader efforts over the course of his career to promote civility and mutual respect in the legal profession. Justice Dickson’s steady leadership has strengthened our state’s court system, and I join all of my colleagues in thanking him for his service and wishing him all the best in retirement.”
