STATEHOUSE (April 30, 2019) – State Rep. Jeff Ellington (R-Bloomington) recently welcomed Bloomfield residents to the Statehouse where they served as pages.
Several Arrows Baptist Academy students served as House pages, including Danielle, Isaac, Jennifer and Kristen Ceaser. Students toured the governor’s office, the House and Senate chambers, and the Indiana Supreme Court. They helped staff with daily duties and joined Ellington on the House floor during the legislative session.
“The House Page Program is a unique experience for students in our community to become more active in our state government,” Ellington said. “These young Hoosiers had the opportunity to learn more about the legislative process and operations at the Statehouse. I look forward to others participating next year.”
Students between the ages of 13 to 18 who are interested in paging during the 2020 session can learn more at www.indianahouserepublicans.com/pageprogram. Participants receive an excused absence from school and groups can request to page together.
Rep. Jeff Ellington represents House District 62, which includes
portions of Greene, Monroe, Martin and Daviess counties.
