STATEHOUSE (April 1, 2021) – State Rep. Don Lehe (R-Brookston) recently honored Delphi native Megan Kelly with a House resolution at the Statehouse for being named an Indianapolis NBA Rising Star All-Star.

Lehe, a co-author of House Resolution 12, said "Rising Stars" are high school seniors who demonstrate leadership in their schools and communities, and they receive a $2,100 scholarship. Kelly was 1 of 21 Indiana students selected for the scholarship.

"Megan excels in school, sports and community service," Lehe said. "She has big aspirations for the future, and I have no doubt that she will achieve anything she puts her mind to. She is a hardworking and talented young student who is going to accomplish great things."

According to Lehe, Kelly is the Rising Star representative of the L & A Park Foundation. As a student at Delphi Community High School, Kelly is involved in sports, and a member of the National Honor Society and student council. Outside of school, she helps at a local animal shelter, serves as a Salvation Army bell ringer and volunteers for various activities at her church.

Kelly plans to pursue a post-graduate degree in occupational therapy after graduation. For more information about the Indianapolis NBA Rising Star All-Star program, visit nba.com/pacers.
