STATEHOUSE (Feb. 2, 2018) — “Indiana blazed the trail of innovative Medicaid reforms when it launched its consumer-driven HIP 2.0 program in 2015, now widely considered a national model. HIP 2.0 bridges the coverage gap for Hoosiers who do not qualify for traditional Medicaid but cannot afford health insurance on their own. The federal government’s extension of this program ensures that hundreds of thousands of Hoosiers will still have access to care, improving health and wellness while reducing long-term costs throughout the state.”
Rep. Kirchhofer (R-Beech Grove) represents House District 89,
which includes portions of Marion County.
