STATEHOUSE (June 23, 2016) — State Rep. Douglas Gutwein (R-Francesville) will chair the Interim Study Committee on Employment and Labor.
“Throughout the summer and fall months, this committee will meet to examine how to best oversee the unemployment insurance benefit fund and the training services fund,” Gutwein said. “We will gather testimonies and work to offer suggestions for potential legislation in preparation for the 2017 legislative session, which begins in January.”
Gutwein said interim study committee hearings, which typically occur at the Statehouse in Indianapolis, can be viewed live online at iga.in.gov. This site also provides committee calendars and meeting agendas. Members of the public are also welcomed to attend.
Gutwein, a veteran, will also serve on the Interim Study Committee on Public Safety and Military Affairs.
Rep. Gutwein (R-Francesville) represents House District 16, which includes all of
Pulaski county and portions of Fulton, Jasper, Newton and Starke counties.
