BANNING CERTAIN DANGEROUS DRUGS: Gov. Eric Holcomb (center) today at the Statehouse signs into law a proposal authored by State Rep. Jeff Ellington (seated, right) banning dangerous drugs. The Bloomington lawmaker led efforts to add U-47700 and Etizolam to the controlled substances list, making it illegal to purchase or distribute either of the drugs in Indiana. As Ellington’s first bill signed into law, he wanted to curb the number of deaths associated with using these drugs.
