STATEHOUSE (June 23, 2016) — State Rep. Jeff Ellington (R-Bloomington) will be serving on the Military Base Planning Council and the State Council on Interstate Adult Offender Supervision.
In preparation for the 2017 legislative session, which begins in January, officials meet to examine topics, gather testimonies and identify potential legislation. Ellington, who is serving in his first year as a member of the General Assembly, recently received these summer study assignments.
“The Military Base Planning Council will be searching for ways to support, maintain and expand military bases in Indiana, including Crane, which is in our district,” Ellington said. “Crane plays an essential role in national security as a naval laboratory working with the Department of Defense.”
The State Council on Interstate Adult Offender Supervision was established in 2007 to develop policy concerning operations and procedures for the adult offender population.
Rep. Jeff Ellington (R-Bloomington) represents House District 62,
which includes portions of Greene, Monroe, Martin and Daviess counties.
