STATEHOUSE (Dec. 11, 2018) — State Rep. Bob Cherry (R-Greenfield) was recently reappointed as vice chair of the House Ways and Means Committee.
“Committees are an important part of the legislative process,” Cherry said. “They provide a place for in-depth policy discussions and enable the public to give their input. I look forward to tackling important issues in Indiana and helping craft a fiscally responsible budget.”
Cherry was also reappointed to serve on the House Rules and Legislative Procedures Committee, and newly appointed to the House Elections and Apportionment Committee, and the House Select Committee on Government Reduction.
Standing committee assignments are made biennially after each election. On Jan. 3, House lawmakers will convene at 1:30 p.m. in the House Chamber for the first day of the 2019 legislative session.
