Note to the Press: Attached is the letter House Speaker Brian C. Bosma (R-Indianapolis) received today from the House Ethics Committee. Please include the following statement from Bosma on the committee’s unanimous and bipartisan decision to dismiss the complaint against him:

STATEHOUSE (April 8, 2019) – “I am pleased with the unanimous and bipartisan decision from the House Ethics Committee to dismiss this politically motivated complaint after a thorough and months-long review. I have said from the start that the complaint was unfounded and baseless, and clearly timed to impact the November election. This is now two independent, bipartisan and unanimous decisions that this complaint is without merit.”

In January, the Indiana Election Commission, made up of two Republicans and two Democrats, unanimously dismissed a complaint against Speaker Bosma regarding his use of campaign funds to hire an attorney to defend himself against false allegations.

Indiana House Speaker Brian C. Bosma (R-Indianapolis) represents
House District 88, which includes portions of Marion, Hamilton and Hancock counties.
