Note to the Press: Please include the following statement from House Speaker Brian C. Bosma (R-Indianapolis) in your coverage of the finalized state budget proposal released today:

STATEHOUSE (April 23, 2019) – “The state budget proposal represents our strong commitment to funding the state’s priorities while holding the line on spending and maintaining reserves. We responsibly boosted investments in public K-12 education, school safety and proven workforce programs. Republican leaders in the House and Senate along with Gov. Eric Holcomb worked hard to meet the state’s needs and maintain a structurally balanced budget.”

The Conference Committee Report for House Bill 1001 now moves to the House and Senate for final passage on Wednesday before moving to the governor’s desk.

Indiana House Speaker Brian C. Bosma (R-Indianapolis) represents
House District 88, which includes portions of Marion, Hamilton and Hancock counties.
