Note to the Press: Please include the following statement from House Speaker Brian C. Bosma (R-Indianapolis) in your coverage of Chief Executive magazine’s “Best and Worst States For Doing Business” annual list recognizing Indiana as the top state in the Midwest and fifth nationally for doing business. The ranking is based on a survey of over 500 CEOs.

STATEHOUSE (May 9, 2017) – “Once again Indiana is recognized as a national leader for its attractive business climate, which is bolstered by the state’s reputation for fiscal discipline, and low tax and regulatory environment. Strengthening our economic competitiveness was a key factor in this year’s passage of the largest state and local infrastructure investment in Indiana history. The Hoosier state makes a strong case for why businesses should choose to locate and grow here. We will continue working together to create an atmosphere that attracts more high-wage jobs for hardworking Hoosiers."
