Note to the Press: Please include the following statement from House Speaker Brian C. Bosma (R-Indianapolis) in your coverage of Gov. Eric Holcomb’s formal launch of the Next Level Roads Plan during an unveiling ceremony in Indianapolis. The plan stems from legislation passed during the 2017 legislative session, which marked the largest infrastructure investment in state history. Bosma joined Holcomb, Indiana Department of Transportation Commissioner Joe McGuinness, and other state and local officials for the announcement at the Indianapolis Traffic Management Center.

STATEHOUSE (July 13, 2017) – “Indiana’s roads and bridges are the lifeblood of our strong Hoosier economy and our responsible, comprehensive and sustainable funding plan will help maintain these assets and build for the future. Today’s unveiling of the Next Level Roads Plan and future construction projects sets years of hard work and planning in motion. This effort will serve as a boon for state and local economies, and I especially look forward to communities moving forward with much-needed road projects through the use of additional state funding and the Community Crossings Matching Grant Program.”
