The following statement was issued by State Rep. Ron Bacon (R-Chandler) in regards to the Indiana Attorney General’s update given today regarding the investigation into the 2,246 fetal remains stored on the property of the now deceased Dr. Ulrich Klopfer in Illinois. Klopfer performed thousands of abortions in Fort Wayne, Gary and South Bend clinics between the years 2000-2002. His medical license was revoked in 2016:

“Since urging the Attorney General to investigate the Indiana clinics where Dr. Ulrich Klopfer performed abortions, the more than 2,200 fetal remains are back in Indiana in St. Joseph County and are considered evidence. As the author of the state law protecting the dignity of human life by requiring the respectful disposal of aborted babies, I am and will continue working with the Indiana State Department of Health to ensure these fetal remains are properly buried or cremated. We must ensure that all children, born or unborn, are treated with dignity that all human life deserves.”
