A hundred employers, ranging from insurance firms to government agencies to high-tech companies, are expected to be at the convention seeking applicants. Pre-registration information is available at www.uschamber.com/hiringourheroes/indianapolis-in, and admission is free.

“My top priority is to bring high quality, good paying jobs to Indiana,” said Rep. Kirchhofer. “Our servicemen and women have a lot of the transferable skills needed to fill open positions in the private sector. They also bring a critical set of life skills and leadership qualities that can grow a business, so this career fair will be a great opportunity for employers and job-seekers.”
Veterans from all five military branches of service who have served in uniform during wartime, or are currently serving, can join the American Legion. One can register at their national headquarters located at the Indiana Convention Center, Hall B, anytime from Aug. 21-30 or online at www.legion.org.
