Commission on Developmental Disabilities to Meet
STATEHOUSE - The first meeting of the Commission on Developmental Disabilities will be held next month and overseen by State Rep. Wes Culver (R-Goshen) who was recently appointed as the chair of the commission.

At the first meeting, the members will receive updates from the Division of Disabilities and Rehabilitative Services as well as other organizations.
The purpose of the Commission on Developmental Disabilities Commission is to review and make recommendations regarding any unmet needs for developmental disability services for community residential and family support services, services for aging families caring for their children and adults with a developmental disability, services for families in emergency or crisis situations, services needed to move children and adults from nursing homes and state hospitals to the community.
"These committees allow legislators the opportunity to delve into particular subject matters. We will then make recommendations to the General Assembly upon our findings," said Rep. Culver."
