Occupation: Owner of an independent insurance agency

State Representative Peggy Mayfield has a long history in the private sector, including retail management, wholesale distribution and the service sector. For over two decades, Peggy and her husband Dean have owned Mayfield Insurance, an independent insurance agency located in Mooresville, IN, and are members of four local Chambers of Commerce.

Peggy has also held elected office, serving as Circuit Court Clerk of Morgan County from 2007-2012. She was a member of the Executive Board of the Association of Circuit Court Clerks of Indiana, where she served as their legislative chairman, and was named the Marlene Sutton Clerk of the Year in 2012.

Peggy and her husband, Dean, live in Martinsville and have four sons. She serves on the Executive Board of Hoosier Trails Council, Boy Scouts of America and is active in their local Boy Scout Troop where her sons are members. She is a recipient of the District Award of Merit and a member of the Order of the Arrow.

House District 60 consists of portions of Morgan and Monroe counties.
