Biography:
State Rep. Jeff Ellington is a long-time resident of Bloomington and has always had an interest in making his community a better place. The district he represents includes most of Greene County and portions of Monroe, Martin and Daviess counties.
For more than 35 years, Ellington has been a vital part of his community through the ownership of his small business, and he now looks to apply his experience in helping Indiana cut government waste and save taxpayer revenue. Additionally, he will work to reduce government regulation and continue creating a more business-friendly atmosphere in Indiana.
Ellington is a former member of the Monroe County Council and the former Monroe County recorder. He is married and the father of two children. He is also retired as a rescue technician from his local fire department.
Ellington is a former baseball and hockey coach, and sponsors local sports teams from Little League through high school.

Indiana Supreme Court Justice Loretta H. Rush administered the oath in the House Chamber of the Statehouse during a formal swearing-in ceremony. House District 62 includes all of Greene County and portions of Monroe, Martin and Daviess counties.
