Biography:
Born and raised in the Wabash Valley, Bruce Borders represents his home community in the Statehouse. He was valedictorian of his class at Shakamak High School. He and his wife Lola have three children and five grandchildren. Borders is a hard-working local businessman, dedicated family man and active member and Royal Rangers teacher at First Assembly of God in Jasonville.

Nationally renowned, Borders is known for his outstanding Elvis Presley impersonation, which was featured on "Late Night with David Letterman," "The Oprah Winfrey Show," "The Joan Rivers Show," "Entertainment Tonight" and more. 

At the Statehouse, Borders fights hard to support legislation that protects life, keeps government lean and ensures that veterans receive the resources and benefits they greatly deserve.

"This tragedy is heartbreaking, and I will be praying for Detective Ferency's family and the Terre Haute Police Department during this difficult time," said State Rep. Bob Heaton (R-Terre Haute).
