STATEHOUSE (Aug. 18, 2025) – The Miles Farm in Blackford County recently received a Hoosier Homestead Centennial Award for being in operation since 1919, according to State Rep. J.D. Prescott (R-Union City) and State Sen. Travis Holdman (R-Markle).

STATEHOUSE (Aug. 15, 2025) – State Rep. Joanna King (R-Middlebury) met with Elkhart County officials on Thursday, Aug. 14, at the Elkhart County Administration Building in Goshen to discuss property tax relief and reform advanced through Senate Enrolled Act 1. Attendees included the mayors of Elkhart, Goshen and Nappanee, Elkhart County commissioners and council members, and other officials from Bristol, Elkhart, Goshen, Millersburg, Wakarusa and Middlebury.

STATEHOUSE (Aug. XX, 2025) – The Deller Farm in Warrick County recently received a Hoosier Homestead Centennial Award for being in operation since 1923, according to State Rep. Cindy Ledbetter (R-Newburgh) and State Sen. Vaneta Becker (R-Evansville).

Marion County lawmakers are commending a historic increase in third grade literacy rates for Hoosier students following results from the 2024-2025 Indiana Reading Evaluation and Determination (IREAD) assessment.

Montgomery County farms were recently honored by the state with Hoosier Homestead awards, according to local lawmakers.

STATEHOUSE (Aug. 14, 2025) – The Dobson Farm, in operation since 1822, received Hoosier Homestead centennial, sesquicentennial and bicentennial awards, and the Keller Farm, in operation since 1924, received the centennial award, according to State Rep. Beau Baird (R-Greencastle) Senate President Pro Tem Rodric Bray (R-Martinsville).
