STATEHOUSE (Feb. 11, 2020) – State Rep. Denny Zent (R-Angola) Monday at the Statehouse presented a resolution honoring the Indiana Rangers for their service during the Vietnam War.

According to Zent, Company D of the 151st Infantry Regiment of the Indiana Army National Guard, also known as the Indiana Rangers, was deployed in Vietnam from December of 1968 to November 1969. During their service, the 151st Infantry Regiment received more decorations than any other army infantry company during any one-year period of the Vietnam War.

Packing boxes of personal belongings and loading them on a truck is just one of many tasks that come with moving into a new home. And if that new home is in another state, that adds another level of stress to any family. For those in the military, the moves happen frequently when orders are given to relocate to a new base and this has a big impact on their children. That is why I authored a bill to ensure students’ from military families can enroll in their new school quicker and pay in-state tuition for college.

Davisson: Addressing the rising prices of medication

More than 30% of Americans say their out-of-pocket costs for prescription drugs are rising, with many of them seeing prices actually increase by more than $100 in the past year. By improving transparency and oversight in the negotiations middlemen conduct between insurers, employers and pharmacies, Hoosiers could save money on medications. This could be achieved by requiring these negotiators, known as pharmacy benefit managers, to hold licenses in Indiana.
