STATEHOUSE (Sept. 29, 2016) — State Rep. Matt Lehman (R-Berne) and fellow Republican members of the Indiana House of Representatives are seeking interns for the upcoming 2017 legislative session, which runs from January through April.
“Interns with the House of Representatives are able to develop practical skills in writing, communicating and researching,” Lehman said. “This is a great opportunity for students to network, strengthen resumes and gain experience as they prepare to enter the workforce.”
College sophomores, juniors, seniors, graduate students, law students and recent graduates are eligible to apply. Benefits include a bi-weekly compensation of $700 and opportunities to earn academic credits and a scholarship.
Lehman said these are full-time positions, Monday through Friday, with a typical work day starting at 8:30 a.m.
Internships are available in various departments, including legislative, communications, technology, fiscal policy and policy.
