It is a privilege to represent Jay, Randolph and Delaware counties in the Indiana House of Representatives. I am honored that my background in economic development has afforded me the opportunity to serve our community and state in this capacity and contribute to a brighter future for all Hoosiers. I believe this is one of the most important issues facing our state, and it will be my top priority.

State Representative Greg Beumer joined the Indiana House of Representatives in November 2013.
Rep. Beumer grew up in Noble Township, Jay County. He attended Portland High School, completed coursework in Business Administration at Ball State University and is a graduate of the Economic Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma.
Before joining the Legislature, Rep. Beumer served two consecutive terms as a Randolph County Commissioner. From 2001-2004, he served as the Region 8 Director for the former Indiana Department of Commerce, which consisted of six counties in east central Indiana. He has also served as the Director of Community Development for the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA) and as the Executive Director of the Randolph County Economic Development Corporation.
Currently, Rep. Beumer is also an organizing partner at Beumer Consulting, LLC in Farmland, Indiana. This is a community and economic development consulting firm specializing in finding funding for a variety of projects. Rep. Beumer also provides all the grant administration certification training for OCRA.
Rep. Beumer and his wife Kathy live on their family farm in rural Modoc and have been married for 27 years. Kathy is the fifth generation to live on the homestead. Together, they have 4 children, 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
